چکیده

Using high-resolution optical spectroscopy we determine the chemical abundance of secondary star in binary millisecond pulsar PSR J1023+0038. We measure a metallicity [Fe/H] = 0.48 +/- 0.04 which is higher than Solar value and general find that element abundances are different compared to stars X-ray binaries solar neighbourhood similar Fe content. Our results suggest was formed supernova explosion. models, where matter has been processed captured by leading anomalies, qualitatively agree with observations. Li A(Li) 3.66 0.20, anomalously high same effective temperature, irrespective age system. Furthermore, J1023+0038 Cosmic what observed young Population I so provides unambiguous evidence for fresh production. The most likely explanation interaction energy gamma-rays or relativistic protons from wind intrabinary shock CNO nuclei star's atmosphere via spallation leads substantial enrichment atmosphere.

Attempts to dynamically constrain the quadrupole mass moment of the millisecond pulsar PSR J1909-3744

In this paper we try to dynamically constrain the quadrupole mass moment Q of the binary millisecond pulsar PSR J1909-3744, which has a white dwarf as companion, from deviations of the third Kepler law. By determining the pulsar’s mass mp from the general relativistic expression of the phenomenologically determined post-Keplerian parameter s, we get Q = (−0.1 ± 1.3) × 10 kg m which is compatibl...

NuSTAR Observations of the State Transition of Millisecond Pulsar Binary PSR

We report NuSTAR observations of the millisecond pulsar–low-mass X-ray binary (LMXB) transition system PSR J1023+0038 from 2013 June and October, before and after the formation of an accretion disk around the neutron star. Between June 10 and 12, a few days to two weeks before the radio disappearance of the pulsar, the 3–79 keV X-ray spectrum was well fit by a simple power law with a photon ind...

X-rays from the Nearby Solitary Millisecond Pulsar Psr J0030+0451 – the Final Rosat Observations

We report on X-ray observations of the solitary 4.8 ms pulsar PSR J0030+0451. The pulsar was one of the last targets observed in DEC-98 by the ROSAT PSPC. X-ray pulses are detected on a 4.5σ level and make the source the 11th millisecond pulsar detected in the X-ray domain. The pulsed fraction is found to be 69± 18%. The X-ray pulse profile is characterized by two narrow peaks which match the g...

Properties and Evolution of the Redback Millisecond Pulsar Binary Psr J2129–0429

PSR J2129−0429 is a “redback” eclipsing millisecond pulsar binary with an unusually long 15.2 hr orbit. It was discovered by the Green Bank Telescope in a targeted search of unidentified Fermi gamma-ray sources. The pulsar companion is optically bright (mean mR=16.6mag), allowing us to construct the longest baseline photometric data set available for such a system. We present 10 years of arch...
